EcoVadis rewards CSR policy of Cleaning Masters with silver medal
Cleaning Masters has been awarded a silver medal by EcoVadis for its CSR policy. The cleaning division of the Multi Masters Group scores particularly high on the ‘Environment’ section.
EcoVadis is an international organization that audits companies in 150 countries to gauge their efforts in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR). EcoVadis presents a company with an extensive questionnaire based on the sector in which the company is active and the answers must be supported by the necessary documents.
During this audit, four major themes are addressed: ‘environment’, ‘labor and human rights’, ‘ethics’ and ‘sustainable procurement’. Within these themes, EcoVadis assesses the extent to which companies pay attention to issues such as energy consumption, employee health and safety, social dialogue, working conditions, and so on.
Excellent score on ‘environment’ component
“This screening is an enrichment in several areas,” says Tom Liottier, Quality Manager of the Multi Masters Group. “On the one hand, this recognition is important because some large companies base their evaluation of potential suppliers on the results of the EcoVadis survey. For example, it is important to know that Cleaning Masters is one of the top 7% of audited cleaning companies in terms of environmental care.”
“On the other hand, every year this audit provides good tips to further improve our CSR efforts. At the first screening, a few years ago, EcoVadis awarded us a bronze medal. By taking their recommendations to heart, we have succeeded every year since then in increasing our score. This is how we have been awarded the silver medal for a few years now. If we can continue this line, we can start dreaming of gold.”
