After a successful four-year collaboration, the municipality of Lennik has decided to once again partner with Cleaning Masters for the maintenance of 13 municipal buildings. Jos Pappaert, Facility Manager of the municipality, stresses that this choice was not a given. “Several companies competed for the new contract, but Cleaning Masters again achieved the highest score on all criteria.”

Stricter criteria, same high score
The requirements had become stricter in the retender, but Cleaning Masters managed to prove itself once again. Els Pint, project assistant at the municipality, explains why the strict criteria were so important. “One of our main requirements was that there should be a task card for each room that clearly describes the cleaning programme. It was essential that these task cards be user-friendly and clear, both for the cleaning masters and for our building managers.”
Cleaning Masters’ task cards scored high on this point. “They increase transparency and promote cooperation, as both the cleaners and building managers know exactly what is expected. This allows us to check everything afterwards and intervene quickly when necessary, and everything is neatly recorded on paper.”
Flexibility and expertise
Cleaning Masters’ flexible approach is often praised. This is also an important asset at Lennik. Jos explains: “What I find most important is their flexibility: they can respond quickly when needed. And if we say something is not possible, they still find a solution quickly.”
He adds: “I have worked with foremen of cleaning teams before, but this is the first time I have met one who knows our buildings so well.”
Very satisfied with Cleaning Masters
The way Cleaning Masters treats its employees was also an important criterion. Jos explains: “Some cleaning masters has been working with us for five years. It is very important to us how a company treats its people, what training they receive and how they are retained. Cleaning Masters scores extremely well here.”
Commitment that catches the eye
The commitment of the cleaners is much appreciated by the municipality. One example is from the town hall, where the cleaning master is so committed that he found it difficult when it was decided to reduce cleaning one day: “He wants everything to be perfect to perfection, but that is not always feasible. This shows how driven and proud he is of his work.”
