Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of Multi Masters Group‘s mission. Day after day, we are committed to doing business in a sustainable and responsible way. The fact that this commitment is also appreciated externally is proven by the silver medal Cleaning Masters was recently awarded again by EcoVadis – a leading international assessor in the field of sustainability.
EcoVadis?
EcoVadis operates globally, evaluating companies in over 150 countries on their performance around sustainability. The methodology is objective, transparent and helps organisations identify their strengths and working points. For Multi Masters Group, the choice for EcoVadis is self-evident, because many of our clients also require an EcoVadis rating. It is proof of our continued commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Assessment on 4 themes
The EcoVadis assessment consists of a comprehensive questionnaire complemented by evidence and a thorough 360° analysis of our organisation. The assessment focuses on four key areas:
- Environment
- Labour and human rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable procurement
At Cleaning Masters, the issue of labour and human rights weighs most heavily (4/4). As a service provider in the cleaning and services sector, our people are our most important capital – they are the core of our operation and make the difference in the quality of our services. Environment follows with a weight of 3/4, considering the impact of our activities on the environment. Sustainable procurement and ethics are given weights of 2/4 and 1/4 respectively.
Based on the information and documentation provided, a score is assigned out of 100, which EcoVadis compares with thousands of other companies to determine the percentile ranking. Depending on that ranking, medals are awarded.
Silver medal for Cleaning Masters
Cleaning Masters recently received another silver medal, valid for one year. With a score of 71/100, we are in the 90th percentile of all assessed companies. In our sector – building cleaning – we are even in the top 5%. Our score on labour and human rights places us in the top 4%, while on environment we are even in the top 2%.

At Cleaning Masters – and by extension throughout the Multi Masters Group – we do not consider sustainability an end goal, but a continuous growth process. That is why we continue to take a critical look at ourselves, invest in training through our MM-Academy and actively look for innovative solutions that contribute to a positive impact on people, the environment and society.
