Like Multi Masters Group, Geldof strives to make the world as sustainable as possible. Not an easy task in the metal industry, but they are doing everything they can to minimize damage to the environment. “Our theme of the year is ‘We facilitate,’ because we are in the process of transitioning to electric solutions. But all that doesn’t happen overnight,” says Pieter-Jan.

“Our fleet is already fully electric. We currently have 50 electric company cars and our parking lot is equipped with sufficient charging stations. There are some 1,780 solar panels on our roof. We want all businesses in the neighborhood to make the same switch. Of course we are in a sector where it is not easy to work energy neutrally, but we can call ourselves a real frontrunner in this respect. All the energy we consume comes from our own solar panels or from renewable sources when we do not generate enough of our own during the winter months. The electric vehicles must also be charged as much as possible here, from our own energy.”

Guaranteed relief

Our heroes from Cleaning Masters have been working at Geldof since 2020. “We started during the corona crisis. Our then cleaning company panicked and dropped everything. At that time we had to look for a new partner as soon as possible, because our heavy contracts meant we had to keep working. At that time, there was a checklist of conditions to stay open as a company. One of those conditions, of course, was hygiene.”

“I contacted Gayna from Multi Masters Group, who had been prospecting earlier. “The cleaning masters are external, so to speak, but you don’t notice this. They are always and everywhere present and that feels right. Our cleaning lady has now really become part of our team. She is therefore always invited to our staff parties,” Pieter-Jan continues. “During the corona crisis, I was looking for a company that could relieve me when I was struggling. They do what they have to do and the contact is always good.”

In addition to the desks, Cleaning Masters also polishes the washrooms and refectories in the production area. “The cleaning ladies then get to work in their ‘full-battle dress,’” laughs Pieter-Jan. “Safety is extremely important to us, which is why they also wear safety helmets, goggles and shoes. Raina is always very colorfully dressed, which makes it extra fun.”
