Samsic launches sustainability report ‘Planet2030’

Samsic, the parent company of Multi Masters Group, operates in 27 countries. An organization of this scale carries a significant responsibility when it comes to sustainability and social impact. That is why Samsic publishes Planet2030 each year: a sustainability report featuring concrete data, achieved results, and targets for 2026. Below, we outline the key insights.

A global framework

To make the impact of ESG initiatives (Environmental, Social, Governance) measurable and impactful at scale, Samsic uses three core pillars as guiding principles:

  • Environmental protection: contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and adapting our operations to the challenges of climate change. This includes optimizing transport, reducing waste, and gaining better control over procurement volumes and resources through specific measurement methods.
  • Employee trust and engagement: creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive working environment for our people. The focus lies on risk analysis, ergonomics, inclusivity, and ensuring that employees’ voices are heard on the work floor.
  • Transparency, ethics, and compliance: promoting sustainable practices throughout our entire value chain. This means carefully assessing the long-term impact of decisions and partnerships, optimizing processes, selecting the right suppliers, and investing in line with our ethical values.

Subsidiaries translate these principles into concrete, measurable initiatives.

The people behind ESG

Achieving our 2030 goals at scale requires full alignment across the organization. To support this, dedicated working groups have been set up by theme and region to drive concrete actions. In each country, CSR project leaders (such as Rob Vleugels for Multi Masters Group), along with carbon officers and compliance officers, have been appointed. Project leaders collaborate across departments and regions: they evaluate each other’s results, share best practices and experiences, and identify risks and opportunities.

Tom, Quality Manager at Multi Masters Group, has already collaborated with colleagues in Italy and the United Kingdom on an ESG questionnaire for suppliers. “I had been answering ESG-related questions from our clients for some time. It felt natural for me to take the lead on the ‘ESG Questionnaire’ project. Together with the working group and the legal team, we refined the questionnaire with the aim of fully covering all governance-related topics.”

These working groups are overseen by the Sustainable Development Committee, which ensures that all actions align with the global framework and monitors the progress of each group.

From the heart

‘Élan du cœur’ — loosely translated as “from the heart” — is the slogan of the Christian Roulleau Endowment Fund, named after Samsic’s founder. Each year, this fund mobilizes Samsic employees to organize initiatives, projects, or events that promote sustainability, inclusion, well-being, and training.

In 2025, this resulted in:

  • 9 projects in medical research
  • 21 training and inclusion initiatives
  • 2 biodiversity projects

For one of the biodiversity projects, Multi Masters Group took the lead by organizing a tree-planting initiative.

Samsic in 2025: key figures

  • €4.1 billion in revenue
  • 155,000 employees
  • 33,000 clients
  • +52% growth since 2020
